Re: Archived Media
Sending a call out, looking for any and all PM Reports any of you may have laying around, looking to find some better and/or more varied numbers than what I currently have.

Re: In the beginning...
Sorry guys, I did have to put this on the back-burner, and while doing so, I have done a lot of thinking about what I want to do, though I really feel I should run some of this by Kon first. As of right now, I think I'm going to ditch VB completely, at least for the first clone attempt. The past SEM...

Re: Why people pirate games
I've pirated a few in the past, but it's something I stopped doing a long time ago when I actually started to get an income. There are a few points I always keep in mind. One is DRM. Like the majority of consumers, I hate it, and hate forced copy protection that annoys normal use, pirated games have...

Re: What kind of Game are we? RTS vs 4X vs ?what?
Personally, I've never really considered RTS or 4X to really be all that different.
SE/MW3 has always been kind of in a class of its own, being a MORTS or MO4X (I wouldn't really go so far as to call it massivly), but it's persistant, yet term-based world are the very unique part.

Re: Welcome.
MMORPGs have never been my type of game. I've always personally been a Shooter and Strategy game person. Of course, I've also never understood this fascination of permanent real-time persistent universe environments either. I already partake in one called life, and that one is more than enough ;p Th...

Something I never noticed before...
I'm sure most of you have done searches for SE over the past few years, and have stumbled across Rich Sisson's page with a single image regarding the redesign he was a part of (he did graphics redesign on many Kesmai/Gamestorm games around the same time). I always just kind of passed it on as a stoc...

Re: Welcome.
Just a reminder, please invite anybody you are still in contact with! I've combed through various lists and archives I had, and sadly had a high bounce rate (expected, it has been about 8 years).

Re: In the beginning...
Unfortunately I don't have anything to SHOW quite just yet, but I am slowly putting in time where I can find it. I'm getting pretty close to seeing if what I currently have is what I want to continue working with... If the current .NET code is to continue on, my plan/hope is still to have something ...

Somewhat sorted, a few things excluded for privacy/taste. Eventually I'll add navigational pages to it, but for now, the core is up.
I still urge any additions, so if anybody has more, please share!

Re: In the beginning...
Ok, I apologize, but I'm already behind schedule because I didn't even have two hours in the last week and a half to work on anything because of various events that hit an unfortunate string, but my free time should mostly be opened up now outside of work, so I'm going to have to extend my original ...

Re: Reunion Date
There is a pretty good possibility I'll be interested, but it would be quite awkward if we don't at least have something to play before then

Re: Archived Media
Side note; Oddly enough, I was randomly looking for short audio clips a few months back and the victory clip from 0.16 ended up becoming my phone's text message soundbyte... part of what inspired me to start this project up and bug Kon for the remaining SEMW3 code. You can't not love that sound! I s...

Re: Archived Media
I have the complete Sound archive from 0.16, as well as the complete image resources (bmp/ico(and ico converted to bmp) (not sure why, but I never took the time to strip sounds from 1.02), as well as both installers (0.16 and 1.02), GeoReader2 (RIP OeilNoir, we still miss ya buddy!), various screen ...

Re: In the beginning...
I should also mention that aside from going with VB.NET because that's what it was started with, I plan to at least give it a try in hopes that Kon and company may be interested doing work in the future, whether it be for the clone or an expanded game, and keeping with their methods could keep some ...
