Current alpha release is 0.6.2 -- Get the installer at http://alpha.stellaremperor.com/Stellar ... mperor.exe

Please place general notes for improvements or changes in this thread.

Release notes:
New Features:
  • Hotkeys have been added, using the same keys SE used, switch chat bar to "Hotkeys" to activate (key summary below)
  • Macros added, accessible from Command Menu -> Macros
  • Added colon separated command stacking
  • Added auto-updating client installer (Not certain this will stick, this is a trial)
  • Added context menus when clicking on objects (stars, planets, ships) that are very close to each other so you can then choose which you would like to select
  • Added ability to change Global and Galaxy handle & title from the client
Fixes:
  • Fixed unemployment riots to not cause full damage instantly and increment continually higher than your population. Unemployment riots are now proportional to percentage of unemployed population and guarded by active troops
  • Fixed bug where nav <planet letter> from hyperspace would display a generic error
  • Fixed a bug that caused figs not to be drydockable
  • Users are now forced to hyperspace when more than 1000 AU away from the sun in starspace
  • Switching between Chat & Info views and normal view, buffers will remain at the bottom if that is where they were
  • Reset galaxy session information when client gets disconnected, this resolves a bug where the client may think you are locked onto a ship you are not locked on to
  • Fix redrawing of torpedo tubes when switching ships in hyperspace with FRE command
  • Message Center messages now properly wrap so they are easier to read
  • Fixed a bug where a freshly spawned ship receiving torpedo tube damage would cause all new ships of that class to have the same torpedo tube damage
  • Slight reformatting of Economic Reports (now using a bit more of the empty space)

Hotkey Summary:
0-9: Select current menu option with that number
Up Arrow: Increase velocity by 25% of ships max (safe) velocity, afterwords, 1LY/S increments
Down Arrow: Decrease velocity (To max safe velocity if above it, otherwise -25%)
Left Arrow: Turn ship Port 45deg (50 gradians)
Right Arrow: Turn ship Starboard 45 deg (50 gradians)
+: Full (safe) speed
-: All Stop
Space: First laser/torpedo
L: Lock laser on selected ship
X: Load torpedo
M: Launch missile at selected ship
V: Launch salve at selected ship
CTRL+Up Arrow: Face Forward to selected ship
CTRL+Down Arrow: Face Aft to selected ship
CTRL+Left Arrow: Face Port to selected ship
CTRL+Right Arrow: Face Starboard to selected ship
U: Shields Up
D: Shields Down
Tab: Toggle command mode
ALT + R: Cycle radio channels
Backspace: Clear command queue
\: Repeat last command
T: Tactical Computer
S: Science Computer
C: Command Computer
O: Operations Computer
Y: Repair ship in drydock
<: Zoom in
>: Zoom out

When not in hotkey mode, all the above shortcuts may be accessed by holding the ALT key and using the shortcut key above.
