Alpha War 3 Feedback

Dear Caleb,
Had an excellent time opening evening of AW3!

The following are some small items I noted as I scouted.
1.) When I first viewed the galaxy screen, it still had my planets and teammates planets highlighted in the colors I had assigned in AW2 in the Color List Manager, of course, spread all over the galaxy in their new random positions. Not a big deal - took a moment or two to delete each planet. Wondering if the Color List Manager could be reset for each war so a player can start fresh once he has his new planets.
2.) Had about 5 or 6 times when my scout overshot target star and began to circle back to the planet in question at full speed. I slowed velocity down to facilitate arrival at star system. No big deal.
3.) Had a few times (maybe 1/2 a dozen?) when I encountered what I call the blue box glitch. Scouted a star, hit hyper, scout entered hyperspace, click on the next star I wish to travel toward to continue scouting, and the blue box appears, with the star # and Yoda ship#, as if I am already where I wish to proceed. The "Navigate to" menu does not show the new star, but remains the star I just exited. I click on the star # in the blue box, the "Navigate to" updates to the proper star, and I proceed. Again, no big deal.
4.) Had several instances of what I would define as Province lag. My scout was in one province, but clicking on the Provence Map blue box would bring up the province where I was previously located, or, perhaps, had last viewed from the Galaxy Map, necessitating closing it and again clicking the Province Map blue box to bring up the actual province I was in.

Again, as I said, none of these items is any big deal at all. My enjoyment of opening scout night was not diminished in any way, but I know you wish to hear of any and all items, no matter how trivial.
Yours, Yoda

Thanks for the feedback Yoda!

#1) It is supposed to have a separate file for each war, I'm not sure exactly how this happened. I have a feeling I'm not clearing that data after you "Return to Global Menu" so it never tries to reload it in the new galaxy thinking it is already loaded. I will look into fixing that.

#2) This is how it was in SE. I have already made it at least a little bit easier in that if you change speed by clicking on the velocity bar, it will keep your navigation, and change your speed. In SE, it always issued an imp (or warp) command, and you had to re-nav. This will not be changed.

#3) I have not yet been able to reproduce this issue. How far away from your ship is the new star? Is the direction of the new star by chance always to the right? If you notice this happen again, please note the star you are over and the new star you are trying to click on.

#4) This is by design. If you open the prov map, and don't specifically close it (change focus to the UI), it remains where it was, and will only return to your current prov if you close it. I will look into adding a right-click menu option on re-focusing on the prov of your ship's location, and possibly the prov of your probe.

Dear Caleb,
Appreciate reply to items I noted.
As I think about item 2, I like it; the randomness of space flight is reflected in the game. It should not be changed; overflights and adjusting for them are part of the game.
As for item 3, the blue box glitch - it occurred once more in my continued scouting - Prov 89, scouted star 1325, entered hyper above 1325, clicked on 2774, about 15 light years away, as you noted, to the right, and blue box with star 2774 and Yoda ship # appeared. Clicked on star # in box, the "Navigate to" menu then gave me 2774, and I proceeded. Again, not a big deal. Thanks for all your efforts. Yoda

That is the info I needed, thank you. It will be fixed in the next client update.

Update is live which should have the fix for #3.
The right-click context menu now all has a Move To Ship and Move To Probe option. If you have no probe deployed, it just moves to your ship. This is the best resolution to #4 I am willing to implement, as I feel the prov map if not closed should otherwise remain where it was.

The update should also resolve all issues with System Scan scanning the wrong system or Nav to star x naving to the wrong star. Please let me know if there are any other issues.
