Archived Media

Post by Cossid »

I'm in the process of sorting through various files I have remaining from SE during OBT/CBT/GS and working on getting some stuff put up online, which I should have done within a few days.

And while I'm at it, I figured maybe I should see what others still have.

Screen Shots
Scoreboard logs
Economic reports
etc...

Anything you got, feel free to post and share. Attachments are allowed on the board (with some size regulation), bit if that's a problem just let me know.

My favorite thing going back through is still the 0.16 victory sound :)

Edit: Preliminary file listing is available at http://archives.stellaremperor.com/files/

I have the complete Sound archive from 0.16, as well as the complete image resources (bmp/ico(and ico converted to bmp) (not sure why, but I never took the time to strip sounds from 1.02), as well as both installers (0.16 and 1.02), GeoReader2 (RIP OeilNoir, we still miss ya buddy!), various screen shots of 1.02, random planet economic logs, various war scoreboards, two complete scouted galaxy .gxy files, and of course the various guides.

Working on getting everything organized, cleaned up, and presentable, as I said it's going to take a bit for that to happen.

I am curious to see if anybody has ScoutEZ, despite being developed by Kon, I don't think I ever had possession of it, and knowing Kon's record, he no longer has it. Not that it would be terribly useful now, but would still be kinda cool to have in the collection.

Side note; Oddly enough, I was randomly looking for short audio clips a few months back and the victory clip from 0.16 ended up becoming my phone's text message soundbyte... part of what inspired me to start this project up and bug Kon for the remaining SEMW3 code.

You can't not love that sound! I still can't believe it was cut from 1.02!

I have loads of stuff still ranging from GameStorm SE.. back to the Kesmai/Genie/Delphi SE and even back to MegaWars III. I think I have the latest copies of ScoutEZ, ProbeEZ (both pending Kon's approval for distribution) and even an AUTOPM program made by Starwolf.

Like you, I have a lot of pics (I tihnk we've shared them before), pm reports and other historical text snippets such as PackFan's final messaging before disbanding DSC in the last war. As a whole.. a lot of useless but interesting text files :)

Somewhat sorted, a few things excluded for privacy/taste. Eventually I'll add navigational pages to it, but for now, the core is up.

I still urge any additions, so if anybody has more, please share!

Hello Caleb,
As promised heres all the PM reports and .gxy files i have.

334 PM reports
7 gxy files

Many of the PM reports were taken endgame after services were set, not sure if those will be as helpful to you. But I know many are taken from various points within the game. They're not organized in any manner. Let me know if you need anything more.

No complete gxy files there, but that's no surprise, not many people had them.

Those PM reports will be incredibly helpful however, much thanks!

Once again, a call for complete gxy files if anybody still has any...

I'm currently working on galaxy generation, and I only have 2 complete files to base off of. I'd prefer to have 2 or 3 more if possible, but isn't really required.
