Happened during the current war (beta 2).

When a planet was attacked and taken by another player he had abandoned the planet. However it was not until I exited into PM and came back out that the colonize option was available in the OP. It had kept the option to attack the planet until i had exited to menu.

I had it working properly for when a planet was taken (but only to the person doing the taking), but not established or abandoned.
This will be fixed in the next update, and it will update all ships in orbit of the planet.
